The restaurant has a view of the countryside. Meadows and forests are right on our doorstep. On a clear day you will be able to see the Gölitzwände (rock formation) in Bad Blankenburg. Our closeness to nature is also reflected in our menu. All our dishes are freshly prepared, ranging from vegetarian to hearty Thuringian cuisine. We place great emphasis on the use of herbs, which we grow in our own herb garden. A special delight is our wide range of game dishes. These include of course the Thuringian dumplings, which we prepare according to Grandma's recipe. Here you will find a small selection of our menu:

 

Something other than meat …

  • Vegetable-Potato-Casserole
    gratinated with a cheese sauce, seasoned with garden herbs
  • Noodle-Casserole
    with Lavender-Tomato crème au gratin
  • Salad Dish
    with fried egg, fried potatoes and a selection of salads, sprinkled with parsley
  • Nettle Puree
    with fried egg and parsley potatoes

  • Gourmet Fish Pan
    Salmon filet in rice ring with fine vegetables, gratinated with a homemade herb sauce, seasoned with tarragon
  • Salmon Filet
    steamed, with nettle puree and parsley potatoes     
  • Wels Catfish
    fried with bell pepper-tomato-vegetables, with a dill-mustard sauce and herb rice
  • Norwegian Salmon Filet
    steamed in butter, in a noodle nest and a dill-mustard sauce

    with mushrooms and thuringian dumplings (alternative with Spätzle), seasoned with juniper

    with mushrooms, cranberry lemon and thuringian dumplings, seasoned with thyme

  • Venison Rolls
    2 little deer roulades, filled with mushrooms, with apple red cabbage and cranberry-pear, served with thuringian dumplings, seasoned with juniper

    in a red wine prune sauce, with brussels sprouts and cranberry-pear served with thuringian dumplings, seasoned with sage

    with butter beans and herb puree

    with red wine prune sauce and Schupfnudeln (potato dumplings), served with steamed brussels sprouts, seasoned with wild thyme
  • Pork Steak in Pepper Sauce
    with butter beans and gaufrette potatoes, seasoned with sage 
  • Tomato Steak
    pork steak, topped with tomato slices, gratinated, served with butter vegetables and croquettes
  • Herb Filet
    pork filet, filled with cream cheese, pan fried, served with fresh mushrooms and green noodles, seasoned with chives and parsley

Thüringen ist bekannt für seine zahlreichen Kräuter und den Olitätenhandel. Wir bieten Ihnen gemeinsam verschiedene Kräuter-Kurse zu individuellen Terminen an.

Entdecken Sie zu jeder Jahreszeit die unterschiedlichsten Wildkräuter bei einer Kräuterwanderung.

Kombinieren Sie je nach Lust und Geschmack verschiedene Kräuter zu Ihrem eigenen Kräutertee – ob als Haus- oder Heiltee.

Füllen Sie selbst Kräuterkissen mit aromatischen Kräutern und Blüten. So sorgt das Kissen für einen wohligen Schlaf.

Mischen Sie Kräutersalz zum selber würzen oder als Geschenk, je nach Geschmack.

Die Dauer der Kurse beträgt jeweils eine Stunde. Preise können Sie bei uns erfragen.
